Jen O'Connell - CEO / President
Jen O’Connell has 13 years
experience working for Tier 1 Wireless Carriers such
as Cingular Wireless/AT&T (Launched over 100
Consumer and Data Devices), Verizon Wireless
(Managed Wireless Data Services), GTE Wireless (Next
Generation Network Exploration) and Powertel
(Marketing, Advertising & Sponsorships). As
President & CEO of Voice of Wireless, Inc., she
continues to consult to the nation’s top wireless
carriers as well as manage Mobile Marketing
campaigns for our clients across a variety of
industries.
Ms. O’Connell is recognized as an expert on Wall
Street as a council member for the Gerson Leherman
Group. She has quickly risen through the ranks and
has spent 3 years as an esteemed member of the Top
5% Leaders Group advising hundreds of private equity
firms and VCs on both start up and established
industry value propositions as well as evaluating
marketplace viability and trending.
Jen O’Connell is the author of the “Cell Phone
Decoder Ring” which educates the public on how to
select the right cell phone and wireless service
written in “everyday language” for ease of
understanding. It is currently available on
Amazon.com.
Ms. O'Connell can be found as a wireless expert
within the Media, frequently being interviewed on TV
(ABC, FOX, MSNBC, Bloomberg and The Tyra Banks
Show), Radio (XM Radio, Mancow in the Morning and
other National Syndicates) and Print (from Reuters
to Life & Style Weekly) on topics relating to the
Apple iPhone, Celeb Cell Phones and other wireless
current events. She has partnered with AT&T to host
their Video on Demand (VOD) educational series
called “Video Library” found on the AT&T website to
empower the public on making better purchase
decisions and is the Technology Editor for
HowStuffWorks.com.
Alan Hurd - Vice President Business
Development
Alan Hurd has 20 years of experience in the
telecommunications industry. He began his career
selling GTE Mobilenet services in Florida. In1989,
he helped found a subsidiary company to his family’s
RCC business whereby he launched wireless services
as an agent for InterCel. After the sale of the
family business, Alan joined Powertel and launched
the business to business channel in Macon and
Columbus, Georgia. He was promoted to Director of
Business Sales whereby he grew sales from inception
to $37 million in revenues. He was awarded numerous
sales awards including the Powertel President’s Club
award and T-Mobile’s B2B Vice President’s award.
As the Director of Retail Sales for T-Mobile, Mr.
Hurd was able to utilize his business to business
skills and leadership pragmatics to drive sales from
$97 million to $147 million in revenues within 2
years. Additionally he won the T-Mobile National
Award for Service Excellence and his region was the
first to receive the J.D.Power award for Customer
Satisfaction. In 2006, Alan won the Helio Wireless
“On Fire” Sales award as the Director of Indirect
sales distribution.
Mr. Hurd’s successful track record of Business
Development stems from a vast foundation of sales
trainings including DISC Method of Integrity Sales,
New BASE Sales Method, Professional Selling Skills,
Situational Sales and Negotiation, and The Seven
Steps of the Sale. His in depth knowledge of sales
environment start ups, value added selling
techniques and creative business development will be
a catalyst for Voice of Wireless sales revenue.
Mr. Hurd also led the localized marketing efforts
with Powertel and T-Mobile. He was responsible for
the implementation and development efforts with the
Star 94 Music Festival, T-Mobile Jingle Jam, and the
US 10K Race. Alan was a media liaison while at
Powertel and instrumental with the advertising
partnerships with the Atlanta Thrashers, Atlanta
Hawks, Minor Baseball Leagues, and the World
Children’s Center.
Adam Goodwin - Vice President International Business
Development
Adam leads our International New Business Development efforts for the Canadian market. He is a technology enthusiast, with an engineering background. Adam is bringing new technologies to the Canadian culture which is just opening up to the future of communication. His expertise makes for simple and practical implementation with companies that may not have had much exposure to wireless technologies. His commitment to customer service and technology will help deliver the best 1:1 end user experience we can offer.
Simon Horrocks - Operational Lead for Mobile Event Marketing
Simon has 22 years working in the music business. He has toured with VH1, Ciara World Tour, Styx, Bad Company and been associated with events such as the Grammy's, Dick Clark's NYE and AMA's NRJ's. Additionally he Produced Rock to the Rescue 9/11 Benefit.
Michael Weeman - Account Lead for Mobile Event Marketing
Michael has earned his Law degree with a focus on Intellectual Property. He has 17 years working in the music business, with experience in content contract negotiation. Additionally he has Production experience with benefits, concerts and festivals.
